U.S. MECHANICAL ROYALTY RATES CHANGE

As of January 1, 2000, the new compulsory mechanical royalty rate for
physical phonorecords, under Section 115 of the U.S. Copyright Act,
will
increase to 7.55 cents/1.45 cents per minute. This is a 6.3% and 7.4%
increase, respectively. (The next scheduled increase will take effect
January 1, 2002, to 8.0 cents/1.55 cents per minute.)
No changes in sychronization and other license fee schedules were
announced.
